Distributing Entisoft Tools with your programs: You distribute the runtime version of Entisoft Tools with any of your programs that require it. The runtime version consists of the Entisoft Tools ActiveX DLL file (EST2_0.DLL) and the runtime key file (ESTOOLS.RUN). The runtime key file was created in the directory where the Entisoft Tools OLE Server was installed--usually C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM The Visual Basic Setup Wizard, for example, should usually detect that your program requires Entisoft Tools, but you must manually add the file ESTOOLS.RUN to your distribution set. You must not distribute any other Entisoft files as part of the runtime version, unless you distribute our complete Standard package (EST2_0S.EXE).
Distributing Entisoft Tools source code with your projects: (Professional Edition Users Only) The following help topics describe several important aspects of distributing Entisoft Tools source code with your projects.
Using Entisoft Tools source code within your Visual Basic Projects: If you choose to use any Entisoft Tools source code within your Visual Basic projects, you must protect our source code so that it may not be accessed by anyone who does not have a license to use the Professional Edition of Entisoft Tools. You can use our source code in Visual Basic projects that you distribute to others, as long as you only distribute the compiled, object-code version of your program. If you would like to distribute the source code to your Visual Basic project and it requires Entisoft Tools, then use the ActiveX DLL version of Entisoft Tools instead of our source code.
Using Entisoft Tools source code within your Microsoft Access Projects: If you choose to use any Entisoft Tools source code within your Access projects, you must protect our source code using Security and Permissions (or by creating and MDE version of your database) so that it may not be accessed by anyone who does not have a license to use the Professional Edition of Entisoft Tools. You can use our source code in Access projects that you distribute to others, as long as they do NOT have access to our source code. If it is not possible to secure our source code within your project, then use the ActiveX DLL version of Entisoft Tools instead.
Using Entisoft Tools source code within your Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Word Projects: If you choose to use any Entisoft Tools source code within your Excel, Outlook, or Word projects, you must protect our source code using Project Protection so that it may not be accessed by anyone who does not have a license to use the Professional Edition of Entisoft Tools. You can use our source code in Excel, Outlook, and Word projects that you distribute to others, as long as they do NOT have access to our source code. If it is not possible to secure our source code within your project, then use the ActiveX DLL version of Entisoft Tools instead.
Using the Data Structure Classes within your Projects: See the UsingTheDataStructuresHelp Topic for detailed information about using the Data Structure Classes within your projects.
